Valorant Officially Released Globally, Here Are The PC Specifications

After going through a long closed beta stage, Riot Games finally officially released the Valorant game globally on Wednesday (3/6/2020). PC games that carry the Free to Play concept can be downloaded for free through the official website, To be able to taste the savory battle in this game, at least the user must prepare a PC with adequate specifications.

The certainty for the release of Valorant was announced directly by Riot Games on its official website. Riot Games has confirmed that this debut PC can be played by the majority of regions around the world, including North America and Europe.

New Valorant Features

In its release, Riot displays many changes in this FPS game. Such as the addition of new agent characters, new climbing maps and additional game modes. The new agent who will complete this global version is named Reyna, the unique thing is Reyna can only be played in a short time.

Meanwhile, the new climbing map feature will be centered in Venice, Italy. Riot claims this feature has a function that is quite rare. This is because certain areas on the map will be blocked, and can only be accessed in certain ways, such as increasing barricades.

Unlike the beta version which seems more intense, in this version Riot Games provides additional game mode options to make it seem relaxed. This mode, named Spike Rush, allows players to go through battles with less time frame.

“Sage, Omen, Phoenix, Raze, and Jess each receive a decent portion of the buff and nerf to get them ready for launch,” wrote the developer via the official Play Valorant website.

“We hope there is a continuous process, we hope to do some of the next feature patches,” they continued.

Targeting players in the Southeast Asian region, Riot Games mixes Valorant into several languages. Such as English, Thai, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese and Indonesian. Of course, this Indonesian option will receive a warm welcome from domestic fans of the Valorant game. Moreover, Riot revealed that this fighting game is equipped with advanced technology where players can play with a light connection.

Even though it is supported by a graphic display that is comfortable in the eyes of the user along with other supporting items, in fact this FPS game does not ask for PC specifications that are too high. The following is the Valorant specification for PC:

PC Hardware Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • VRAM: 1 GB

Minimum PC Specifications (30 fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
  • GPU: Intel HD 4000

Recommended PC Specifications (60 fps)

  • CPU: Intel i3-4150
  • GPU: GeForce GT 730

High-end PC Specifications (144 fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
  • GPU: GTX 1050 Ti

With a low specification offer, of course this will greatly benefit Riot Games. The reason is, with low specifications, players don’t need to spend more to just upgrade their PC. That way the number of Valorant players will automatically increase.

Globally, Valorant’s launcher has also reduced the number of CS: GO game players. If previously the number of CS: GO players reached 857,604, after Valorant was released the number of CS: GO players dropped drastically to only 768,795 players.

Since the beta version was launched some time ago, this game has attracted the attention of fans of the First Person Shooter (FPS) genre. This game, which is said to be the best contender for Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), has quite a variety of characters and weapons. There are about 17 of the best Valorant weapons that can be played.

In addition, Riot as the developer also presents a Ranked Mode system in this free game. The ranking stages in the competitive ranked game mode are very interesting. There are 8 ranked lists that have been prepared by Riot to mark the skills of Valorant players, including Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Valorant.

Furthermore, the existence of this randked is intended to make it easier for players of the same level to meet more quickly. That way, the game will run more exciting because high-skilled players will only play with equal opponents.

Its status as one of the best fighting games, in fact, does not make Valorant free from attacks by naughty players. Evidenced by the disclosure of the first Valorant Cheater who used Wallhack + Aimhack to ruin the game. As a result, the rogue player has been banned by Riot.

Not wanting to repeat the same mistake, Riot Games finally opened a bug bounty program contest on HackerOne (bug hunting platform) to find security vulnerabilities in Vanguard (Valorant Anti Cheat system).

In the competition, Riot promised to give a 1.5 billion prize for the inventor of the Bug Vanguard Anti Cheat Valorant. In addition to getting a comprehensive report, this program is also carried out to test the security of the Vanguard anti-cheat system in their Valorant game.
